Neve Tzedek

Despite being one of Tel Aviv’s oldest neighborhoods, Neve Tzedek vibrates with young energy. Founded in 1887, it predates Tel Aviv and holds the distinction of being one of the neighborhoods which would eventually lead to the establishment of the city. Originally built by Jewish families seeking refuge from Jaffa’s crowded quarters, Neve Tzedek’s charm lies in its unique blend of history and modern appeal.

The neighborhood’s name, “Oasis of Justice,” perfectly captures its essence as a place where locals could live life a reflectant of their values and aspirations. Narrow streets lined with restored, colorful buildings in the Oriental architectural style create a tranquil escape from the bustling city center, referred to by locals as “Little Tel Aviv”. Lush gardens and winding alleyways evoke a bygone era, while trendy boutiques, art galleries, and craft shops infuse the area with a contemporary vibe.

Stroll down Shabazi Street, the central hub brimming with activity. Here, you’ll find a treasure trove of unique shops. Be it designer clothing, handcrafted souvenirs, or gourmet food items, Neve Tzedek caters to different tastes.
